Bushrat of The St Mary’s Valley

The Bushrat of the St. Mary's Valley documents a lifetime spent hunting, trapping and just enjoying the magnificent St. Mary's Valley and the soaring Purcell Mountains, southwest of Kimberley, BC. It tells the story of Kimberleyite, Larry Shannon and his family as they live a rugged mountain lifestyle now forgotten by many.

Larry Shannon writes, "We had so many good years together as a family. The kids and grandkids grew up there learning to love the mountains and the trapline way of life. I only wish we could have been there longer so our great grandkids could have found that same love of the mountains like their parents, myself and their mother did. What a great life in the mountains we've had over the years. What a great life for a bushrat - and what a great woman I married all those years ago, who made all this life possible for me."
